| Fox Carnival Band was formed in 1997 and has grown into one of the UK's biggest carnival parade community groups. We are a non-profit organisation and every year, our biggest challenge is locating sponsorship to create and parade our children's art. |

• Why should I take an interest in Fox Carnival Band?
All the art we parade is made by children and young people. We celebrate and facilitate the development of young creativity, and by taking part in huge events such as London’s Notting Hill Carnival, the Ryde Illuminated Carnival and the Mayor's Thames Festival, we provide a very special, esteem-raising experience for children and families. Our hundreds of artworks moving in unison, applauded by enormous crowds, are an unforgettable sight. |
| • What else does Fox do? We offer workshops and art sessions all year. We maintain our web site, which receives over 16,000 hits per quarter, and informs others about the history of Notting Hill Carnival. We have won two national Artworks Awards, and our young people’s art has been exhibited at the Victoria & Albert and the Tate Modern museums. It is also frequently displayed at prestige premieres and launches. |
| • What else is special about Fox? Fox Carnival Band is a "Mas Band", or a troupe of people "masquerading". We carry "standards" or artworks mounted on tall poles. Because all participants merely follow our Band Leader, no previous experience is required to join. |
| • So who can become involved? Every year, we gladly welcome new people to the project. Creating our artwork and taking part in all events is accessible to youngsters of all ages and abilities, as well as to their parents, carers and friends. Volunteers also play key roles at every stage. |

| • We can also provide additional facts, figures or photos – as well a six-minute Power Point presentation. CLICK HERE and we will promptly post any of these to you. |
